We would like to welcome you to the Southeastern Blackhawks baseball family. Over the past few years the Southeastern Baseball program has operated a Diamond Club to allow our players to have the best college baseball experience possible through extensive travel, hotels and meals on road trips, and equipment. Keeping with tradition, I would like to extend this opportunity for YOU to support Blackhawks baseball.
The SCC Baseball Diamond Club is mainly used to support our spring travel. Your generous contribution will be directly used for road trips in the spring of 2009 to places such as Jackson, Mississippi; St. Louis, Missouri; Ina, Illinois; and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. These trips are a great asset to Blackhawk baseball from both a recruiting and competitive standpoint. After two months of indoor practice, such trips allow our club to prepare for our conference season where we will compete with traditional conference rivals such as Kirkwood and Iowa Central. Plus, they help expose our team to potential high school recruits. And most importantly, they benefit our players, serving as a great way for them to be seen by 4-year and pro scouts in other regions of the country, helping their chances of earning an opportunity to advance their baseball careers.
After finishing 2008, our 3rd season at Southeastern, with a 35-23 record, we have now accumulated the most wins in any three-year span in school history (103). We now wait to embark on the 2009 season with intentions of carrying on the proud tradition that SCC baseball has built over the past 16 years. This group is working hard to improve upon last season and get back to the top of the ICCAC with the ultimate goal of reaching the JUCO World Series in Enid, Oklahoma.
